Colored Spaces
Each of the works by Laura Aberham (*1994, Düsseldorf) invites the viewer to follow the colour gradients and to be surprised by the different arrangements. In some cases, geometric figures can also be guessed at in the pictures, which are then painted over or sprayed over again. On the one hand, the pictures evoke an immediate effect due to the expressiveness of colour and design. On the other hand, the nuances of which the picture is composed only become apparent when one gets involved in the process of creation and reconstructs it before one’s mental eye.
