Arno Beck
Crystal Math
New unpainted digital works
Arno Beck (*1985) deals in his pictures with boundaries of painting and a computer-generated aesthetic. His works are first created in digital space and then processed in different analogue ways into real space. He is interested in the question of how the handling of the computer shapes perception or how he as a painter can make visual phenomena of the computer tangible in his pictures. His way of working can be described as “perfect imperfection”, as he undermines the perfection of the digitally representable. Beck’s third Frankfurt exhibition “Crystal Math” presents his most recent works, which were created during an intensive examination of drawing.
