Push Start
Post digital paintings and prints by Arno Beck
Push Start was the title of Arno Becks first solo exhibition in Frankfurt. The title refers to early gaming culture, when players had to push the start button to resume a game. Early computer games and programs are the primary source of Arno’s artistic inspiration. In his work Arno is searching for productive misunderstandings of these visual worlds. He uses woodprints, silk-screens, typewriters, reversed glasses or normal paintbrushes to make early digitalization visible.
